Drexel Course Helps Students Connect To Local Community

The University City Review highlighted the work I’m involved with to teach local elementary students STEM topics. Through a special course at Drexel, students visit the classrooms and prepare lessons for the children to participate in. I’m currently working as the Drexel Community Scholar to support and expand this program to more students and schools. Currently we offer classes in Physics, Math, and Biology.

2017 Truman Scholarship Finalist

Drexel Fraternity Warms Philly’s Homeless With Thanksgiving Dinners

Every year for more than 15 years my fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi, has spent the day before Thanksgiving preparing about 100 home cooked meals for the homeless as well as 911 call center employees. I was lucky enough to be in charge of the event in 2015, and it was one of the highlights of my time in Phi Kappa Psi. This year CBS Philly joined us before 7:00AM to watch how the all the meals come together.

Recipient of 2016 ExCITe Center Seed Grant

The Drexel ExCITe Center awarded a $5000 seed fund toward a project to develop an accessible audio based tour of the Lower Schuylkill River. This project is a collaboration between the University of Pennsylvania and Bartram’s Garden as well as Drexel University to bring together historical and scientific information into a single database.
